Retrospective Narrative Reindexing: A Three-Phase Model of Autobiographical Reorganisation Following Late Autism Diagnosis in Twice-Exceptional Adults

Retrospective Narrative Reindexing (RNR) designates the reassignment of autobiographical events from their original categorical indices to neuropsychologically grounded categories that alter the causal architecture of the self-narrative following late autism diagnosis in twice-exceptional adults. Derived from a single autoethnographic case, the three-phase model comprises Massive Recoding, Causal Chain Revision, and Identity Consolidation. High metacognitive capacity may accelerate the first two phases and delay the third through a recursive analytic loop. The model requires external empirical validation before clinical generalisation.

Deception Without Lying: A Case-Derived Two-Operation Hypothesis of Truthful Misdirection in Autistic Communication

Can an autistic speaker deceive without lying? The paper reports a single autobiographical case in which individually defensible true propositions combine into an impression a listener could describe as deceptive. It proposes a two-operation hypothesis: an utterance is generated without antecedent deliberation, then a real-time evaluative judgment decides whether its misleading effect is corrected or left standing. The construct is differentiated from paltering, camouflaging, and double empathy accounts and offered as a falsifiable hypothesis with predictions for dyadic testing.

Contextual Interpersonal Calibration (CIC): An Iterative Method for Autistic Adults Decoding Implicit Communicative Codes in Neurotypical-Dominant Environments

Contextual Interpersonal Calibration (CIC) is a method for autistic adults decoding implicit communicative codes in neurotypical-majority environments, formalized as an explicit, iterative alternative to communicative intuition. It proceeds through a recursive cycle of observation, local hypothesis, register selection, and falsification, tracked across six operational variables including cognitive cost. CIC is positioned relative to Communication Accommodation Theory, single-case ABAB design, and Bayesian models of social inference, and is presented as an operational proposal grounded in the author's practice, without efficacy validation.

Self-Caregiving Under Structural Erasure: Role Collapse and Structural Isolation in Autistic Adults

Some adults permanently occupy the roles of care provider and care recipient, without a stable support network able to detect deterioration and coordinate a response. This conceptual analysis proposes self-caregiving under structural erasure (SCSE), defined by two constitutive criteria: role collapse and non-transient structural isolation. The article develops the construct within autistic adults, hypothesizes that residual masking may moderate the gap between assessed and self-perceived support need, and outlines implications for measurement, clinical practice, and a falsifiable research agenda.

AURA Protocol: A Territorial Needs-Assessment Methodology for Autism-Adapted Hospital Access, Demonstrated Through a Case Study in Lleida, Spain

Hospital environments generate sensory overload, communication barriers, and procedural difficulties for autistic patients, and the study identified no formalised access route in the territory examined. The AURA Protocol proposes a standardised, replicable instrument for territorial needs assessment, applied here through a 23-item questionnaire administered to ASD families in Lleida (N=15). Four domains reached a mean severity of 4/5 or above. The resulting framework comprises three sequential interventions, consensus-ranked, at under 300 euros in material cost, exclusive of staff time.

Anticipatory scripting in high-masking autistic adults: a second-order compensation process and its implications for psychoanalytic therapeutic engagement

Autistic scripting, the pre-generation of conversational content before a social exchange, is documented in the literature on camouflaging and cognitive compensation. Drawing on a single systematic autoethnographic case in ongoing psychoanalytic psychotherapy, this paper proposes anticipatory scripting as a tentative construct: conversational trajectories, provisional interpretations, and affective weightings generated in advance as conditionally activated variants. The construct is a case-generated hypothesis, differentiated from camouflaging, intellectualisation, resistance, hypermentalizing, and metacognitive overcontrol, with clinical implications framed as provisional.

Related Constructs and Theoretical Differentiation: Situating Epiphanesthesia in Existing Research

This paper introduces epiphanesthesia as a candidate third functional category of interoceptive content, distinct from homeostatic signals and emotional substrates. Three necessary criteria define it: the signal indexes structural convergence between previously unintegrated representations, precedes their declarative representation, and arises without deliberate attention to the interoceptive channel. The construct is mapped against five research traditions, with a candidate neurobiological substrate and four predictions for empirical testing. No empirical account is claimed.
